INTRODUCTION

Introduction...We have a great opportunity at Unitrans as a Despatch Supervisor at Nulaid Bergvlei Bronkhorspruit to ensure that all deliveries are out on time, all paper work is correct, ensuring that there is availability of drivers, report such information to management, ensure most cost-effective delivery of goods to the customers.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience

•Grade 10
•Tertiary qualification in Logistics/ Transportation •Management or studying towards is an advantage
•Operational experience
•Administration2 years experience in the Transport industry in a supervisory position
•Must be able to operate all types of trucks
•Hands-on involvement in all areas of the business
•Problem solving abilities
•Skills and Knowledge
•Excellent communication skills on all levels
•Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team
•Valid code 14 drivers license
•Analytical, pro-active, organised, innovative
•Computer literate (MS Office and Outlook)
•Willing to work weekends and Public Holidays

Job Duties 

Supporting and assisting Foods Management with:

•Handling administrative tasks and supervising and controlling driver activities
•Briefing / debriefing of Drivers (loading and off loading)
•Able to Schedule loads
•Tacho and trip sheet analysis and dispatching vehicles, monitoring progress and utilization
•Handling administrative tasks and supervising and controlling driver activities
